Hershey Hockey defeated Central Dauphin 8-2 in the first round of district playoffs on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Klick Lewis Arena.
Deryck Zerby scored the first goal for Central Dauphin almost five minutes into the first period. The first Trojan goal was netted by Brady Bowman five minutes into the game.
Sophomore Sammy Steele scored the last goal of the first period and three more goals in the second period for the Trojans. Freshman Caden Freer and junior Jason Walk both tallied one goal each to wrap up the second period.
Gordon Lauffer scored the last goal for the Rams three minutes into the second period. The last goal of the game was netted by Hershey sophomore Patrick Larkin shortly after Lauffer.
Therefore, Hershey will advance in hopes of winning the Bears Cup Championship at the Hersheypark Arena on, Saturday, March 5.
