Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes
The Gloria Barron Prize aids 8 to 18 year olds who have made great progress on a service project within the past 12 months. In order to be eligible for an award of up to $10,000, applications must submit a 1,500 word essay, a photo of themselves, and a letter of recommendation. Students are able to apply until April 15, 2024.
Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest
High school and college students over 14 years old can create a holiday or greeting card to potentially win a scholarship award worth $10,000. A public vote will determine the top ten cards which will then go on to a panel of judges to select the winner. The deadline to create and submit the card design is March 1, 2024.
Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund and The Sallie Mae Fund provides aid to students aiming to attend a two-year, four-year, or trade program. 25 high schoolers of a diverse background in gender, disability, race, ethnicity, and/or underserved communities will receive awards up to $10,000. Students can submit application materials, their transcript, recommendations, and their financial need analysis before March 27, 2024.
Technology Addiction Awareness Scholarship
High schoolers who plan to attend a two-year, four-year, or trade institution can earn a $1,000 financial aid award by writing a 140 word essay on alternatives to spending time with technology. The deadline to submit the application is January 30, 2024.
Gucci Changemakers North America Scholarship
Seniors and college students that aspire to study the arts, fashion and graphic design, or other creative subjects are eligible to apply to this scholarship. Applicants must create an essay, a two to three minute long video, a portfolio, and a student biography to earn a scholarship award up to $20,000. The deadline to apply is February 9, 2024.
EngineerGirl Essay Contest
The EngineerGirl Essay Contest sponsored by the EngineerGirl website is giving 3 awards of $500 to students regardless of gender. For the High School division (grades 9-12), applicants write an essay of maximum 1,200 words on the engineering factors related to an everyday object. This essay can be submitted at the latest on February 1, 2024.
