National Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day: July 1st
July 1, 2023
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! July 1st is National Creative Ice Cream Flavor Day, a day full of celebrating all the weird and awesome flavors of ice cream.
Families can be seen on this day going out in town and trying new suspenseful flavors, or even running to the grocery store.
There are hundreds of flavors out there that can range from sweet to savory, and anything in between.
Many states have one of a kind selection when it comes to this seasonal treat.
Arizona, for example, is turning cornbread into a flavor they like to call, sweet corn.
Delish said, “Corn on the cob might be a summer essential, but this ice cream is even better, turning cornbread into a frozen dessert. We’ll take two scoops.”
However, Delaware is taking the more common summer approach flavors and creating a fruity mix. Located at Rehoboth Beach, is the orange and mango frozen cream base folded with strawberry swirls.
Indiana on the other hand is taking the creation to another level with the brightly colored treat. The Midwest flavor is what they call a Blue Moon and tastes like fruit loops. It offers a burst of Blue Moon, cherry, and lemon.
To top them all off, is Maine’s funky ice cream flavor: butter infused cream topped with lobster! It is so different that even locals don’t fully understand the thought behind the creation. Risk takers can enjoy this interesting flavor at Ben and Bill’s Chocolate Emporium.
Summer is the prime time for ice cream, but also vacations. Anyone who is on a road trip or just curious about the flavors of ice cream should definitely try them out on July 1st.
