Hershey wrestling defeats CD East 23-48 on Senior Night

Hershey’s varsity wrestling team defeated Central Dauphin East 48-23 on Senior Night on January 5, 2023.
Hershey came in with a 3-1 record against CD East and their 0-9 record.
Mathew Locklier was the first senior to wrestle. Locklier weighed in at 160 lbs; however, lost his match by 2 points, giving CD East the lead.
After Locklier lost his match, Tristan Bingeman was up next to wrestle. Bingeman, 180 lbs., scored the most points out of the seniors in his match. Beating his opponent by 5 foul points, his win got the Trojans back in the lead.
For the final match of the meet, Ben Farr, 127 lbs., won against his opponent by 2 foul points.
The 4 seniors this year on the team are: Tristan Bingeman who has 46 wins and 34 losses, Salem Essis 15 wins, 31 losses, Ben Farr 15 wins, 23 losses, and Mathew Locklier 17 wins, 24 losses.
The team celebrated their seniors before their match, with announcements of their plans for the future, how long they have been wrestling, and what their other hobbies are outside of wrestling.
Thankfully all of the seniors were able to wrestle for their special night.
