Hershey varsity softball team beats Susquehanna Township
Hershey High School varsity girls softball team beat Susquehanna Township High School’s team by 10-0 on Wednesday May 18th of 2022 at Susquehanna Township High School.
The game ended after five innings due to the mercy rule, which is when the game ends if one team is ahead by seven runs in the fifth inning.
Hershey softball coach John Zitko believed that having fun and staying focused was crucial to the success of the game. Zitko also thinks that being well rested both physically and mentally is key to playing well.
“When the season started, our primary focus was to get better each game,” Zitko said. “As the season progressed, we improved by a lot.”
The team’s next game occurs on Thursday May 19th of 2022 against Bishop McDevitt High School at the Hershey softball field.
