Hersheypark returns to some normalcy this summer

While the pandemic created mayhem in 2020 for the entertainment and amusement industry, the outlook for Summer 2021 is brighter. Hershey Park has gone to great lengths to provide a safe environment to their guests. Offering advanced reservations to keep admission numbers down and safely socially distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID.

While Hershey Park required temperature checks and face coverings, they have continued to evolve with the ever changing Centers for Disease Control & Prevention guidelines. Beginning in May, those who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear masks or socially distance.

All guests two or older that are not vaccinated will need to continue wearing masks except while eating or drinking. Temperature checks will no longer be taken. Advance reservations will still be required through Memorial Day with an exception for Season Pass holders.

The Hersheypark website states that “Our company continues to maintain our enhanced cleaning, sanitization and disinfection standards, which meet or exceed established industry guidelines.”

Springtime in the Park brought in a little more than 100,000 visitors for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company. This is encouraging news after not being able to open last year’s operations due to the pandemic.

Hershey Entertainment is also kicking off their Summer concert season with Luke Bryan on July 9th and has other popular musical groups scheduled such as Zac Brown Band, Maroon 5, and The Jonas Brothers.
