Hershey High School wrestling fell to Middletown in a hard fought match, 27-30, on Monday, January 11th, 2016.
HHS had 6 wins with 3 decisions, 2 pins, and a forfeit. The decisions came from Senior Josh Warren (285 lb), Freshman Nyiem Flucas (160 lb), and Senior Joseph Abraham (145 lb) matches. The pins came at the end of the night from Seniors J’Michael Wedderburn (195 lb) and Tyair “Mo” Stump (182 lb). HHS gained the 1 forfeit from Junior Jacob Gore (220 lb).
The Trojans still couldn’t rack up enough points to top Middletown losing a string of matches from 106 lb to the 138 lb. Middletown also gained a forfeit from our 170 lb match costing the Trojans 6 points.
“It was a tough loss and we were missing a few guys for the match, but it’s no excuse,” said Josh Warren, senior and captain of the wrestling team. “Next time we go out, and we win it.”
