HHS Students Take 2019 Keystone Exams

Jenna Reiber, Reporter

Hershey High School freshmen and sophomores took the biology and English Keystone exams during the week of May 12, 2019.

This year the biology and English Keystones were taken on May 14 and 15. Algebra Keystones are going to be taken the week after on May 20 and 21.

Mostly freshman and sophomores take the Keystones because they take biology their freshman year and take the English ones the year after.

Both testing days of Keystones were scheduled to end at 9:33 am, but on the first day testing was extended almost an hour extra to 10:15. On second day, the time was again extended, but only until 9:55.

Keystone exams have been used as a graduation requirement in the past, but under current law the Keystone exams have been delayed until 2021-22 as graduation requirements.
