HHS Mini-THON Prepares for Fall Fest

As the school year starts up again, so do the clubs of HHS, and HHS Mini-THON prepares for it’s upcoming fall event.

Fall Fest is an event at the high school where kids and teenagers can enjoy their time painting pumpkins, playing Halloween games, and going down a haunted hallway. The Fall Fest will take place on October 27 from 5 to 8 pm.

Junior Brianna Dean is the HHS Mini-THON co-chair with Kate Wilson in hospitality. Dean has been doing events with Mini Thon for two years.

“Last year I was mostly a part of getting donations for grocery stores,” said Dean, “But this year I’m a little bit more involved. Mostly I’m in charge of getting candy and making sure that all the correct forms and stuff are filled out.”

But it’s not just Mini-THON running this event, they are collaborating with other clubs as well.

“We are completely open to collaborating with other clubs. I think we’ve worked mostly with Key Club in the past just because what they do is sort of similar to what we do, it’s just not focused on one event or one thing,” said Dean, “I think it’d be really cool if we pull other clubs in there.”

All the proceeds from Fall Fest will go towards the Four Diamonds Fund to fund pediatric cancer research.
