Taylor Swift has released an acoustic version of her song “Delicate,” which is the 5th track on her album, “Reputation.

Swift released the song on Spotify as part of the Spotify Singles series. Along with an acoustic version, she also released a cover of “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire. The songs can be found on Spotify. All the tracks were released on April 13, 2018.

This new take on “Delicate”  was recorded in The Tracking Room in Nashville. Earlier this year, Swift released a vertical video for the song on Spotify. The video was shot in one long take and features Swift playing around in the woods.

The acoustic version gives more of an old-school country vibe. The guitar in the background and Swift’s natural voice takes away a lot of the song’s original pop- a nice break from her recent style.

The song tells the story of a relationship that’s thrilling, yet unpredictable and uncertain. The original does a better job at portraying the message, from the backup vocals and instrumentation, but the acoustic helps it become realistic with Swift’s natural voice.

Swift started her Stadium tour on May 8 in Glendale, AZ. Swift and her team have been rehearsing for the show since the album’s release and will be stopping by Philadelphia on July 13-14. Camila Cabello and Charlie XCX will be her openers.
