While they didn’t score in the first, it didn’t take long for LD to get to Hershey starter Jack Goulet. After a walk and a bunt single, LD tied the game after an RBI single into right field. After a wild throw home from Santangelo, a second LD baserunner was thrown out at the plate.

The very next inning, LD catcher and third baseman Tommy Brantley hit a two run home run into left center field. The following inning, an RBI single by Clay Spencer gave LD a 4-1 lead. Another RBI single and a sacrifice fly gave LD a 6-1 lead to end the top of the fourth inning.

In the bottom of the fourth, Hershey first baseman Steven Solt hit a solo home run to left field that cut the deficit to four.

Goulet’s night on the mound ended after he threw a scoreless 5th inning. Kohen Stover replaced Goulet in the 6th inning and allowed one run on and a sacrifice fly to make the score 7-2.

LD starter Ryan Kutz managed to throw a complete game, while only allowing two runs to the Hershey offense, both by solo home runs.

This loss brings Hershey’s record to 9-7 and their next game is on May 10th at Mechanicsburg Area High School.
