Hershey High School’s 2018 musical production will be Peter Pan.

Performances will occur on March 1, 2, and 3 and include a matinee show.

On December 11, students and advisors of HHS theatre started working on the school musical coming early March in 2018. One of the reasons practice started earlier than previous years is because characters like Peter Pan will be flying, meaning time is needed to correctly and safely make these movements possible.

The cast includes Cameron Brown as Peter Pan and Lexi Corcoran as Tiger Lily. This year’s production required a large cast due to the three ensembles, the Lost Boys, Hook’s Pirates, and the Indians, which adds up to a total of 37 parts in the show. The musical will be directed this year by Michelle O’brien and Josh Yentsch.

This will also be the school’s first time having an afternoon show. The afternoon showing will only be on the last performance day, Saturday March 3. The main goal of this is that parents will not have to bring their kids to a 7:30 show, and the children can meet their curfew times. It might benefit others who aren’t able to attend the evening showing of the musical too.
