101st Annual PA Farm Show

The Pennsylvania Farm Show has returned again this year for its 101st anniversary. It started January 7th and is open for eight days. It is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. from January 7th to the 13th and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 14th, according to PennLive. The PA Farm Show is the largest of its kind in the country, offering the opportunity to see 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits, and 300 commercial exhibits.

The event is based at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show Complex and Expo Center which contains more than one million square feet holding 11 halls, three arenas, and 9,000 parking spaces, according to PennLive. The center is located at North Cameron and Maclay streets in Harrisburg.

The cost of parking is 15 dollars. Shuttle services are available to take visitors from the parking lots to the center, said PennLive. The food court at the Farm Show will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from the 7th to the 13th. On the last day, the 14th, it will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to PennLive, the least busy times to visit the Farm Show are 9:30a.m.-noon and the busiest times are 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. There is a schedule for the Farm Show activities.

Hershey High School students must fill out a trip form and hand it to the office as soon as possible, before Friday, the 13th, and be approved in order to have an excused absence from school on Friday, according to the HHS front office assistants.
