Hershey Defeats Cocalico Advancing to the Tournament Title Game

The Hershey High School basketball team defeated Cocalico 67-45 on Friday, December 10 at Hershey High School, advancing them to the Hershey Tip-Off tournament final on Saturday against William Allen.

With three pointers from both senior Luke Blackburn and junior Jake Wilson, the trojans started out the game strong. At the end of the first quarter, Hershey had a 24-10 lead and kept the lead throughout the game.  

Blackburn scored a total of 16 points for the team, followed by Wilson with 11 points. Strong defense from juniors Nick Hines with a total of nine points and Drew Painter with seven points also helped the lead the team to victory.

The Cocalico Eagles star player, Aidan Trynosky, kept his team alive, scoring 19 total points throughout the game.  

At the end of the first half, Hershey was still going strong with a 35-25 lead.

During the third quarter, Blackburn made two three pointers, and Wilson assisted in closing the third quarter with a 51-36 lead.

Painter helped finish out the game, scoring all of his seven points in the fourth quarter. The game ended with a 67-45 victory for the Hershey High School Trojans.
