Greencastle beats Hershey Girls Volleyball 3-2

The Hershey Girls Volleyball team played a hard fought match against Greencastle Senior High School on Thursday, September 29th.

The game took place in Hershey High School’s gym where the Trojans lost 3-2. The team won the first set 25-19 and the second set 25-20, but it went downhill from there. However, there were many individual standout performances.

Senior Ali Gmerek and freshman Annie Shay both had many noteworthy statistics throughout the game. Gmerek had 17 aces and 11 kills, and Shay provided 29 assists for the Trojans. Senior Katie Stevens had 3 blocks over the course of the match.

Despite their loss, the Trojans’ league record is now 5-2. Show your support for the team by coming to the next game against rival Palmyra on Tuesday, October 4th.
