From gory comedies to intense sci-fi, beloved tv shows are returning for the fall.

Everyone loves a good tv show: a break from a busy day and an escape from reality into a new world. So pop some popcorn, grab a drink, and get comfortable for the shows returning to tv this fall.

AHS is a whole mix of horror, sci-fi, supernatural, drama, and more. Seen it or not, it is a very well-known show. Each season has a new theme with a new storyline and new characters. The sixth season’s theme is titled “My Roanoke Nightmare.” This storyline is going to reflect the history of a colony that went missing in Roanoke in the the late 16th century.

The sixth season premiered on Wednesday, September 4, 2016 on FX. Directed by Bradley Buecker, the season premier reeled in about 5.14 million viewers. The fan base reaction to the first episode titled “Chapter 1,” was all but chill. Fans were freaking out over the theme being released, the fact that it was “based on true events,” and were left utterly confused with the typical bizarrity of the show. Lady Gaga recently joined the cast last season and has returned for another along with actors Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, and Sarah Paulson.

The Voice (Season 11): September 19, 2016

The Voice is back with a fresh batch of talent. In this competition, contestants audition in front of the judges who are blind to who’s singing. If a judge thinks the contestant has talent and wants them on their team, they will hit a button and their chair turns around. If only one judge hits their button, the contestant is automatically on that judge’s team. If two or more judges hit their button, the contestant must decide whose team they want to be on while the judges provide feedback and try to win them over.

When the judges gather enough team members, the judges then mentor their singers and compete against the other judges. After weeks of competition, one judge is left with one singer deeming both the judge and singer a winner.

This season, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys have joined Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as judges in the hopes of beating the two guys who have been on the show since season 1. The new season premiered on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 8PM on NBC. The new season is bringing laughs, talent, and a new singing sensation.

Teen Wolf (Season 6/final season): November 15, 2016

It was confirmed at San Diego Comic Con in 2016 that season 6 of Teen Wolf will be its last. The show first premiered on MTV in 2011 and gained a sturdy following. It stars Tyler Posey as teen wolf Scott McCall. Through the seasons, McCall has juggled becoming a werewolf, falling in and out of love, losing the lives of his friends, fighting villains, and staying alive all while trying to pass high school.

McCall’s friends, also known as his “pack” includes Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien), Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), Lydia Martin (Holland Roden), Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin), and Isaac Lahey (Daniel Sharman). While actors like Reed, Hoechlin, and Sharman made an exit, the show has introduced new actors such as Dylan Sprayberry, Shelley Hennig, Arden Cho, and Cody Christian.

The creator of Teen Wolf, Jeff Davis, enjoys exploring folklore and mythology on the show. The new and final season is centered around Stilinski who gets taken by Ghost Riders. Just giving a glance at these villains, victims are captured and the memory of their existence is erased. Ever since the show began, fans have wanted Stilinski and Martin to become a couple due to him being hopelessly in love with her and she not even noticing him. Having been through a lot, the two have become very close. After five seasons, Davis has guaranteed that the two will finally be together in the final one, with Martin being the only one to remember the existence of Stilinski. This satisfies a majority of the fans who have wanted them together since season one. Teen Wolf is going out with one last howl on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 9pm on MTV.
