Popsicle Recipes for the Summer

Popsicles are an easy and fun way to cool down this summer. There are hundreds of recipes across the internet but these are some great recipes to show the vast options. 

Mini Frozen Yogurt Pops from WomensDay.com:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of yogurt
  • Mini Chocolate chips (if desired)

Directions:

  • Disperse yogurt into 8 paper cups or popsicle molds
  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired
  • Cover with tin foil
  • Put in a wooden stick (will be used to hold up the popsicle)
  • Let freeze for at minimum 8 hours
  • Remove from the cup and foil and enjoy!

Fruit ‘n’ Yogurt Swirl Pops from WomensDay.com:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of frozen or fresh fruit
  • 2 tbsp. of sugar (only for fresh fruit)
  • 2 cups of vanilla yogurt

Directions:

  • Using a food processor to puree the frozen fruit or fresh fruit and sugar
  • Pour the mixture into a resealable bag like a Ziploc
  • Put yogurt to another resealable bag
  • Snip a corner on each bag
  • Alternate adding yogurt and the fruit mixture to your paper cups or popsicle molds to make swirls
  • Add wooden sticks so the popsicles are easy to hold
  • Let freeze overnight 
  • Remove from the container and enjoy!

Cake Batter Pops from Just-add-sprinkles.com:

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of vanilla ice cream
  • ¾ cups of yellow cake mix (dry)
  • 2 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ½ cups of sprinkles

Directions:

  • Combine the ice cream, cake mix, vanilla extract, and milk in a blender 
  • Blend on a medium speed until thoroughly combined and smooth
  • Stir in sprinkles
  • Spoon into paper cups or popsicle molds
  • Add wooden sticks to make the popsicles easy to hold
  • Let freeze for a minimum of 4 hours 
  • Remove from the molds carefully and enjoy!

2 Ingredient Fudge Pops from CrazyforCrust.com:

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of chocolate hazelnut spread or other chocolate spread
  • 1 and ½ cup of chocolate milk

Directions:

  • Gradually whisk the chocolate milk into the chocolate spread
  • Add into paper cups or popsicle molds
  • Add wooden sticks to paper cups to make the popsicles easy to hold
  • Let freeze for a minimum of 4 hours 
  • Remove from the molds carefully and enjoy!

As with any recipe there are always ways to twist it and make it your own. Change an ingredient or try a different flavor, by adding your own twist it becomes something unique and fun.
