ESPN Airs Michael Jordan Documentary “The Last Dance”

ESPN debuted a Netflix documentary highlighting basketball star Michael Jordan’s last season as a Chicago Bull in what is known as, The Last Dance, on Sunday, April 19, 2020..

Directed by Jason Hehir, the documentary focuses on the untold stories and what happened behind closed doors while Jordan reached the final peak in his career. Including hundreds of  interviews with Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson, and MJ himself, The Last Dance depicts the Chicago Bulls journey as Jordan leads them to win their final NBA Championship title.

Obtaining 6.1 million views on the first two episodes, The Last Dance was the highest rating documentary to air on ESPN.

The series is ten episodes, and EPSN plans to air two new episodes each Sunday night for five weeks. At the conclusion of airing the series, the documentary will be available for streaming on ESPN.com and the ESPN App.

While the series premiered on ESPN, Netflix announced that it would come to its platform on July 19, 2020, according to Variety.
